Why was a feed removed?

All audio feeds on Broadcastify.com are provided by independent volunteers. Each feed is operated using the volunteer’s own equipment, typically a scanner radio connected to a personal computer and internet connection.

Because these feeds rely entirely on individuals, availability is not guaranteed. If a feed goes offline, it means Broadcastify is no longer receiving audio from the volunteer who was providing it. This can happen for a variety of reasons, including equipment failure, internet issues, relocation, or a volunteer choosing to discontinue the feed.

If a feed remains offline for more than 3 weeks, it is automatically removed from the Broadcastify directory. This helps ensure that the directory only lists active and reliable feeds.

If you notice that a feed you regularly listen to has disappeared, it most likely means the volunteer is no longer providing it. In some cases, another volunteer may eventually restore coverage for that area, but this is not guaranteed.
